The issue with MV is that it doesn't properly do what's called "garbage collection", which means that any time you load up a new map, any time you go into a battle, use a skill, see an animation, use an item, gain EXP, gain an item, every little thing is kept permanently until the game is closed. As it stands with MV, playing through my game (which admittedly has a lot of plugins) will slowly but surely creep it up to around the 6~6.5GB RAM mark, which is honestly unacceptable, but is likely partially my fault for having so many plugins, plus, for some reason, it doesn't seem to go much higher, so I'm alright. I often have it open when I'm playtesting my game to observe anything that might be causing it to spike unnecessarily. Keep an eye on it and feel free to run the same tests I did. From there, click on the Performance tab and you'll have the tab that I have open on the right side of those screenshots. If you hit ALT+CTRL+DEL on your keyboard, it'll load up a series of options.
